HOW TO SURVIVE FAR FROM HOME?

How to survive far from home? (and not die trying)

Firstly I have to say that I'm temporarily here in Chile, I've been here for a year and despite everything... I have much to learn here.

It is true that living without your family and friends and far from home could be a very interesting experience, from learning to organize a new home, to learning how to cook your own food and trying to make new friends.

It's necessary to make friends in the place where you're living, because spending much time alone could be counter-productive (that's the key to continue living alone), if not, you are going to have a boring stay.

The second point is that you have to be cleverer and more attentive than in your city, because you are alone and it's not going to be easy to solve a big problem... remember there's nobody around to help you. They're far and maybe they have enough problems too.

Another aspect of the issue is if you miss your home while you're adapting to a new country, you could discover new activities to do, for example travelling around this new territory, try new food, and ever try to understand the way that people speak. This is the best part! Specially in Chile where people speak quickly and differently!.
